Yoga

Well I have been doing yoga for about a month now. I do it everyday for about 60 to 90 minutes. I usually do it for 90 minutes, but if the kids get fussy I have to cut it short. I really enjoy it, and I love the results. I just feel better all the time. It helps me when I carry the kids and also when I sing. Plus I am toning muscle and have lost weight. I am double jointed in my knees, hips, shoulders, elbows and hands. Yoga is one form of exercise I can do and not hurt myself. I found some pictures of some advanced poses. I am working to do my poses as good as these!

Oh yeah, and I got my hair done yesterday. I finally let her cut my hair. But long 'bangs' is all. I think I like it, and so does the hubby. Take a look and see whatcha think:

The Cats

We have two very furry and shedding cats. Being the Jane Austen fan I am, of course I had to name my cats after my all time favorite book and movie, Pride and Prejudice. Since we have a male and female cat, we named them Lizzy and Mr. Darcy. However, their personalities are quite different from the characters for which they were named. Lizzy is very skittish and doesn't socialize well. Darcy truly thinks he owns this house and that we are his slaves. They are indoor kitties, and sleep in the garage. Our dream is to one day live in a neighborhood where they can roam free with lots of trees to climb and squirrels to chase. Our current house is in a large subdivision so there are currently more cars than trees. Sorry kitties! I want you to stay alive! Here are a few pictures:

The two headed cat! Not really; They just like to sleep snuggled.

The hubby took this of Lizzy. It looks so professional!

Darcy says, "You are tolerable I suppose; but not handsome enough to tempt me. I am in no humor to give consequence to cameras taking my photograph."

Table decorating and more pictures

I love to entertain. I love having people over, and cooking a delicious meal, and decorating the table to look inviting and warm. The hubby's grandparents were in town a couple of weeks ago so we had everyone over. I decorated the table with a red tablecloth and leopard print napkins. I like place cards so I used them, and tested out my calligraphy skills a little. Then I put out small vases with fresh flowers and candles. It was beautiful. The menu was Dijon stuffed chicken with mushroom cream sauce; baked stuffed tomatoes, corn souffle and broccoli cheese casserole. For dessert, we had individual servings of banana pudding. Yummy! Here are some pictures:

The table is set for our dinner party

As I was setting the table one of our cats, Mr Darcy, wanted to know what was going on. He says, "I'll have the salmon tar-tar."

The banana pudding dessert. This isn't your standard stuff! recipe listed below.

This is how the table looks now. I am having people over next weekend, so there are more pictures to come.

The Hubby's grandparents. They live in North Carolina and don't travel much. It was a very special treat to have them visit!

Delicious and easy Banana Pudding

1 - 14 oz can of condensed milk

1-1/2 cups cold water

1 regular package instant vanilla pudding

2 cups whipping cream (I use cool whip; it makes it sweeter and easier)

vanilla wafers

3 or 4 bananas

Mix condensed milk with the water and add vanilla pudding until smooth. Chill in refrigerator for 5 minutes or so, then add the whipped cream or cool whip. Layer in large dish or individual serving dishes with a small amount of pudding first, then a layer of cookies, then a layer of bananas. Repeat layers and garnish as desired. Let it sit in the refrigerator for at least a couple of hours so the pudding can soften the cookies. Heavenly!

The Kids

We have the sweetest kids. They just turned one, and they are so much fun. My daughter, Kensi, (short for Kensington) is the oldest by about 30 seconds and the dominant twin. She is in to everything. She likes to climb stairs and put gross things from the floor into her mouth. But she is a people person and never meets a stranger. Camden, our son, is a bit bigger and he's our little thinker. He will just look around at people and watch what's going on. But he is very loving and likes to snuggle. You have to earn his smiles. They are the joy of our lives. Pregnancy was not the most wonderful part of my life. Ever heard of Hyperemesis Gravidarum? Google that. But I'd go through it all again to have these children. But, I don't want to go through it for any more children, that is. We are done! A boy and a girl at one time. Its Perfect!

Tea anyone?

This picture was taken while we were on "holiday" in London. We stayed at the Milestone hotel. (http://www.milestonehotel.com/) It was Fabulous! We went to England and visited Manchester, London, Bath, Chester and lots of small towns in between. Ever heard of black pudding? You don't even want to know what's in it. If you're really curious try a google search on that! After London, we took the Chunnel across to France and went to Paris. We stayed at the Hotel de la Madeleine. (http://www.hoteldelamadeleine.com/) It was such an amazing trip. Just me and the Hubby.

On our next European trip I want to go to Italy; or Germany; or maybe Austria; No, Greece...

First Post

Welcome to my blog! I am very excited to begin this new adventure in cyberspace. I wanted to start a blog because first of all it is uber cool, and anyone who's anyone is doing it. Secondly, because I have an innate need to express what I feel is "unreleased creativity." Thirdly, since I have a set of twins I just needed something else to do to take up even more time that I don't already have.

That said, keep checking back for recipes, pictures and stories of our household adventures. I hope you have fun reading!
